Life is full of unexpected needs, so we make high school as simple and supported as possible. You don’t need to bring anything but yourself to school when you attend Buckeye Community School (BCS). And even then, you only have to bring yourself at the agreed upon times in your Individualized Learning Plan! Learning happens everywhere, and anytime that works for you. We’re flexible and don’t have requirements for the amount of time you spend in your high school building.
We are your friendly, local Ohio tuition-free community school serving grades 9-12, and we believe in you! Everything you need to do your school work is included for free at Buckeye.
We provide the books, laptops, pencils, and papers you need for your classes. We understand that change can be hard – so we’re here to make your school prep easy on you by providing all the big and little school supplies you need.
Debunking the Laptop Myth
We live in an increasingly technological world, and the good news is you don’t need to have a laptop or be tech-savvy to succeed in high school or in life! Even when you choose a fully remote or home-based high school schedule, you don’t need your own laptop. We provide the materials you need to do your work.
Curious about our Career Tech options or classes that require a laptop? We loan you one.
Worried about losing a book? It’s ok, we are all human - if you can’t come in to pick up a new one, our friendly teachers and staff will bring you a replacement. And yes, the replacement will be free.

We support high school students in three great Ohio communities. Check out your local BCS location in Marion, Mansfield, and London – come grab breakfast, lunch and snacks anytime. At every Buckeye location we set-up our cafeterias like a cafe with bistro tables. Casual, flexible, fun, and free!
